Beach party helps audience survive until the summer
This is our third visit to Monster Music and we all agreed that the presenter this time was exceptionally good and really made the experience memorable
I do hope there's another. The content and presentation were fabulous and the presenter was just great. As were the orchestra and conductor. In fact, everything was perfect.
Day at home, family all out at school – time to reflect on yesterday’s Intergalactic Adventure concert and begin final preparation for next week’s Science Fiction Classics concert.
Yesterday afternoon saw Oxford Town Hall filled to capacity – our first sold out family concert at last! – for an Intergalactic Adventure with the Oxford Philomusica. There were plenty of fantastic costumes – spacemen, aliens, robots – and not just in the audience: one of the horn players was wearing a genuine NASA spacesuit!
The concert was so engaging and interactive. My 5 year old sat with his face resting on the seat in front of him for the whole show.

Malloy also narrated Saint-Saens's Carnival of the Animals and Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. My six-year-old granddaughter Eloise was mesmerized from beginning to end
the popular concert which had the audience on its feet doing ski exercises and singing along to some of sport’s best loved songs
It's an absolute staple of sanity and good wholesome cultural fun, and by Jove there are some fine tunes to be had into the bargain
